The story behind Get2Know

I've Been There, Too.

I still remember the excitement, uncertainty and countless questions that came with starting my own Working Holiday in Japan.

Am I really ready for this? What if things don't work out? Will I make friends?

Moving to the other side of the world and stepping into a completely unfamiliar culture isn't always easy. But looking back, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I met incredible people, made lasting friendships and experienced a way of life I would never have discovered on a two-week vacation. Along the way, I learned more about myself than I ever expected.

But I also experienced the challenges that come with it.

During my time in Japan, I worked in the travel industry and spoke with countless Working Holiday travellers. I heard firsthand about their struggles with Japanese bureaucracy, language barriers and the uncertainty of navigating everyday life in a foreign country.

What stood out to me was how much of a difference the right information and support could make. I saw people overcome challenges that initially seemed overwhelming and grow more confident along the way.

Those experiences eventually led me to one question:
